Led by the Rotaract and Rotary Club of Bwebajja in collaboration with other dedicated clubs, this initiative breathed new life into Bufumira Island, rekindling hope and significantly enhancing the lives of its residents.
With an unwavering commitment to the common good, the project delved into critical aspects of life, leaving a profound impact on every corner of the island. From disease prevention and treatment to water hygiene, education, maternal health, and environmental protection, the project addressed fundamental needs with a holistic approach.
The project’s inception with a health camp not only provided essential medical care but also served as an educational platform, spreading valuable knowledge about health and offering services like HIV, malaria, and cancer testing. Mothers-to-be received vital mama kits, households were equipped with mosquito nets, and schoolgirls were provided with reusable pads, all contributing to a brighter and healthier future for the community.
